The CIRI Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2000, primarily focused on supporting the educational and cultural needs of Alaska Native people. It was created by the Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), an Alaska Native corporation formed under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) of 1971. The foundation aims to enhance the quality of life for Alaska Natives through scholarships, grants, and community programs that promote cultural heritage and education. Over the years, it has provided financial assistance to numerous students and initiatives that align with its mission of fostering educational opportunities and preserving the cultural identity of Alaska Natives.
