• This program is open to residents of Texas who are 1) high school seniors; 2) full-time undergraduate or graduate students; or 3) part-time undergraduates who are also active student members of the American Public Works Association (APWA).
• Applicants must be preparing for a career in public service by acquiring technical expertise in such fields as emergency management, engineering and technology, facilities and grounds, fleet services, leadership and management, solid waste management, transportation, utility a….
• Selection is based on public works career field and goals (30%), academic achievement (20%), community service (15%), completeness of the application (10%), and financial need and letter of recommendation (25%).
