The Scholarship provides financial assistance for college in any state to residents of downstate Illinois who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT), allies, or children of LGBT parents attending or planning to attend a postsecondary institution. Students who participate in political advocacy, community service, or extracurricular activities are encouraged to apply.
