Who can apply

• Must be a high school senior in Texas
• Must be an FFA member for at least 2 of the last 3 years
• Planning to major in agricultural or life sciences
• Completed at least 5 semesters in agriculture, food, and natural resources
• Minimum SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 19
• Must rank in the top half of the graduating class

• This program is open to high school seniors in Texas who are FFA members and have been members for at least 2 of the 3 previous years.
• Applicants must be planning to major in a field related to the agricultural or life sciences at a college or university in Texas.
• They must have completed at least 5 semesters of instruction in agriculture, food, and natural resources during high school; have scored at least 1000 on the SAT or 19 on the ACT; be U.S. citizens, and rank in the top half of their graduating class.
• Selection is based on academic achievement; SAT or ACT scores; completion of agriculture, food, and natural resources instruction; FFA leadership and achievement; financial need; and an interview.
