Despite her long career at AT&T, she pursued her dream of nursing by attending North Carolina A&T State University, where she achieved academic honors. The scholarship supports undergraduate students pursuing a four-year degree in nursing at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), reflecting Gwendolyn's commitment to education and service to others.
