National Society of Collegiate Scholars

National Society of Collegiate Scholars advances an honors community for high-achieving college students and pairs recognition with practical academic and career support. The organization operates more than 300 chapters and offers members connections to career and graduate school pathways, along with leadership and service opportunities. In 2025, the organization awarded more than $348,000 to 44 scholars. NSCS also offers GEICO “Student of the Year” Changemaker Awards, with six $10,000 awards for students in categories including AAIP, HBCU, Hispanic, First in the Family, Students with Diverse Abilities, and Woman in Business. Beyond those flagship awards, NSCS supports campus and professional development through College Impact Awards sponsored by College Ave, Sage Corps internship support for international placements in cities such as Madrid and Sydney, and $1,500 scholarships for members in TFAS leadership and internship programs. General scholarship eligibility includes NSCS membership and a 3.0 or higher GPA, with recipients selected for commitment to academics, leadership, and service. The organization also provides application guidance that emphasizes starting early, proofreading carefully, personalizing essays, and building on accomplishments.
