Muriel C. Majneri Trust directs charitable support toward postsecondary education for students connected to Prairie Heights High School in LaGrange, Indiana. Working with PNC Bank as trustee, the trust has established the Prairie Heights Future Leaders Scholarship Program to help graduating seniors continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Its support is focused, place-based, and tied to a clearly defined student community: high school seniors from Prairie Heights High School who are preparing for full-time undergraduate study.
The trust’s scholarship activity is structured around annual awards for study at an accredited institution chosen by each recipient. In the current program cycle, awards are set at $1,000, with up to 10 awards granted; additional awards may be made when qualified applicants and available funds allow. The program supports attendance at community or technical colleges, four-year universities, and vocational-technical schools, and it is limited to undergraduate study. Awards are not renewable, and scholarship payments are issued in August directly to the student’s school.
