Monachino

The Joseph A. Monachino Memorial Scholarship is established to honor the life of Joseph A. Monachino, who passed away in 2018 after battling cancer. Joseph was an immigrant from Canicattì, Sicily, who served in the Navy and dedicated 25 years to the Civil Engineer Corps. He valued education, hard work, and family, and this scholarship aims to support high school students in Nevada who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to ethics and education. The scholarship provides a $500 award to one winner, with a preference for applicants from Carson High School and those involved in JROTC or NJROTC programs.
