Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is a nonprofit organization established in 1986 that represents more than 500 colleges and universities in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Latin America. Its mission is to promote the development of Hispanic-serving institutions (HSIs) and to advocate for the higher education needs of Hispanic students. HACU works to ensure that these institutions receive the necessary resources and support to provide quality education and to enhance the educational opportunities for Hispanic students across the nation.

HACU has played a significant role in increasing the number of HSIs and in advocating for policies that support Hispanic higher education.
