For four-year institutions, Entergy supports current undergraduate sophomores, juniors, and seniors with at least a 3.0 GPA who are enrolled in eligible technology majors such as computer science, cybersecurity, data science, information technology, computer engineering, cloud computing, communication networks and security, and AI programs. Those students must plan full-time study for the upcoming academic year at accredited HBCU universities including Dillard University, Xavier University, Grambling State University, Jackson State University, Tougaloo College, Texas Southern University, and other named campuses across the four-state region. For two-year pathways, the program supports students pursuing degrees in Process Technology at colleges such as Baton Rouge Community College, Delgado Community College, Hinds Community College, and Lamar Institute of Technology. Entergy’s program emphasizes academic performance, leadership, school and community participation, work experience, educational and career goals, and unusual personal or family circumstances in recipient selection, while financial need is not considered. Awards are for undergraduate study only, are not renewable, and are paid in August, with applicant notification sent in June.
