Dunkin’ invests in education and community support in the Baltimore and Metro DC region through a structured regional scholarship effort tied to its local franchise network and workforce. The Dunkin’ Baltimore/Metro DC Regional Scholarship Program recognizes education as a community priority and extends support both to area residents and to members of Dunkin’s broader corporate family. In this regional program, Dunkin’ and its franchisees commit up to fifty scholarships of $2,500 each, creating a defined annual pool of undergraduate aid across the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. The program’s design shows a dual focus on community impact and employee opportunity. It serves high school seniors and current undergraduate students planning part-time or full-time undergraduate study at accredited two-year colleges, four-year colleges and universities, or vocational-technical schools for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must be permanent residents of eligible counties and municipalities in the Washington, DC and Baltimore areas and must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Dunkin’ employees are specifically encouraged to apply, including crew members who have worked for the company for at least three months and remain in good standing through May 1, 2026. Dunkin’ structures the awards to balance regional and audience representation. Up to ten scholarships are reserved for qualified employee applicants, while up to forty additional awards support community non-employee applicants. The program also divides recipients geographically, with 25 awards designated for Baltimore-area counties and 25 for DC-area counties. Awards are one-time, nonrenewable grants for undergraduate study only, underscoring Dunkin’s role in helping students take the next step into higher education while reinforcing its stated commitment to strong local communities.
