The Andrew Lopez Anesthesia Scholarship is funded by Christian Kamiya and aims to honor the life of Andrew Lopez, a passionate and driven student who aspired to earn his doctorate in nurse anesthesia. Unfortunately, Andrew passed away during his second year of the program, which cut his ambitions short. This scholarship is designed to support students who embody Andrew's perseverance and determination, particularly those pursuing a doctorate in nurse anesthesia. The scholarship awards two winners with $500 each, with a preference for minority students, first-generation college students, and those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
