Qui peut postuler
- This program is open to 1) residents of San Diego County, Imperial County, or the Mexican state of Baja California del Norte; and 2) residents of any state enrolled full-time at a college or university in that area. Applicants must be interested in participating in a competition in voice, keyboard, strings, winds, brass, or percussion. Instrumentalists must have reached 16 years of age or be a graduating high school senior, and not have reached 24 years of age. Vocalists must have reached 18 years of age or be a graduating high school senior, and not have reached 32 years of age. All applicants must submit 1) a letter of recommendation from their private music teacher; 2) a short statement of their goals, and 3) a transcript of credit from the school they last attended. They must provide a repertoire sheet listing the precise title of all works to be performed at the preliminary auditions. Those works must meet prescribed requirements for each category of the performer. Based on the preliminary auditions, finalists are selected to compete for the scholarship prizes. The application fee is $15.
