- This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in who have been active 4-H members for at least 2 years. Applicants must be planning to enroll full-time at a postsecondary academic or vocational institution in and major in a field of STEM. Along with their application, they must submit an essay of 200 to 400 words on the most valuable lessons they have learned from their 4-H experience. In the selection process, the top priority is given to the level of 4-H involvement; other factors considered are financial need and academic achievement.
