- This program is open to members of the society who are currently 1) enrolled as undergraduates, graduate students, or doctoral candidates; or 2) practicing K-12 educators in the first 3 years of teaching. Applicants must submit 1) a 750-word essay on the role of service in becoming a professional educator; and 2) a description of their service to their chapter, local community, and profession, and how that service made a difference. Each chapter may submit only 1 candidate.
